System (Compo-gas System) which recovers methane gas from organic wastes such as garbage, paper, tree trimmings, etc. by anaerobic fermentation and composts the fermented residue. The flow of the anaerobic fermentation process and flow sheet of the facility where the technology was implemented are shown in the attached figure.

  1. Enables high efficiency recovery of biogas by high temperature methane fermentation of waste food, etc.
2. Operation and control are easy because this is a system for solids such as waste food, paper, etc.

The start of basic research in 1996,The start of demonstration test in 1999,The start of commercial applications in 2001

Construction of pilot plant with 3t/d scale in Kyoto City.

Biogas generation capacity from food waste: 150-200Nm3/t-treated

Cost varies depending on treatment conditions, effluent standards, and waste quality.

Energy consumption, CO2 generation, etc. from construction to dismantling.

Reduction of cost of waste water treatment after biogas treatment

Activation of the market is required, and Others
Recognition of organic wastes.
Creation of sorted collection system.

Because this is a system which recovers energy in the form of biogas using bio-resources as raw materials, environmental loads (global warming, etc.) are reduced.
In addition to enabling high efficiency energy recovery, composting of the fermentation residue is also possible if waste is sorted.
