3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Technology Database for Waste Management
The task of building economic and social systems in close harmony with the natural environment will require more efficient use of resources, reduction in the volume of waste materials generated and the recycling of materials. This is why it is so important to develop and make available the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) technology that will make more efficient and effective use of resources possible. This database web site was established in order to make 3Rs technology developed by Japanese corporations and institutions available to the world. Since establishment of the Japanese language site in 2002, the website has accumulated approximately 550 different profiles of technology. The products and technology types that are covered by 3Rs technology comprise a very broad range. Site users can find the types of technology they require by conducting searches of the database according to product and technology type. NEDO hopes that the information provided in the database will be widely used as reference material for product development. It should be noted that important new technology is added to the database on a regular basis. |
